Terms of Use

Last updated: May 17, 2026.

Family Visits is a free iOS app for families to coordinate visits to a loved one. By using the app you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.

Using the app

Your content

You own the content you put into Family Visits — your photos, notes, comments, addresses. By using the app you grant us a limited license to host that content so we can show it to the other members of your family circle and store it on your behalf. We do not sell it, license it to anyone else, or use it for advertising.

Family circles

Circles are private to invited members. The circle owner can archive a circle into Memorial Mode (read-only forever) but cannot delete a member's content without the member's consent. Members can leave at any time; leaving removes you from the circle but preserves the circle for everyone else.

No medical claims

Family Visits is not a medical app, a care app, or a health app. We do not provide medical advice. We do not store medical records. The app is a coordination tool — what your family does with it is on your family.

Availability

We aim for the app to work whenever you need it. We can't promise it will never have an outage, a bug, or a missed notification. We will not be liable for damages arising from missed visits, missed reminders, or other downstream consequences. Don't use Family Visits as the sole safety net for someone whose life depends on a visit.

Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent change. We'll notify you in-app of material changes.

Termination

You can delete your account from inside the app (You → Privacy → Delete my account). We may close an account that breaks these terms.

Legal

Family Visits is operated under United States law. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of New York, NY, unless an applicable consumer-protection law in your country requires otherwise.
